Where are your courses held?

Right now we only provide trainings in Orlando, FL. However, we are looking to partner with Lash Artists in other States so you're interested in working with us, contact us at hello@getlashedorlando.com.

We do offer a hybrid learning format for most of our courses meaning you'll complete the theoretical portion of training online and then schedule time with your Trainer for hands-on practice.

How many students are in a class?

Typically no more than 2 students are assigned to an Trainer at a time.

Will I learn Classic and Volume at the same time?

No, as a beginner, we do not recommend it. As a guide, it’s best to wait 3-6 months before you attend a Volume course after completing a beginner Classic course (provided you are lashing frequently).

Who teaches your courses?

Licensed and experienced Lash Artists with 2 or more years of experience and multiple certifications who have completed an educator training course.

Our Trainers are thoroughly vetted to ensure quality training.

Bios coming soon!

What language are your courses taught in?

English

Are you a school?

No, we are a continuing education provider in Florida that specializes in lash and brow trainings.

Are your courses nationally accredited?

No, currently, there is no national oversight or accreditation for eyelash extensions so there is no need (or benefit) to attend a nationally accredited course. Licensing requirements to perform eyelash extension services vary from state to state. In the state of Florida one must hold an Esthetician (Full/Facial Specialty) or Cosmetology license as with most states.

However, we have studied States that offer eyelash specific licenses such as Texas, Minnesota, Arizona, and Indiana and our program either meets or exceeds their licensure requirements so you can be sure that you're getting the most comprehensive lash training.

We also use the same curriculum, Milady, that our local beauty schools/colleges use and we are in the process of assembling Program Advisory Members to review our curriciulum on a bi-annual basis to keep up with changes in the beauty industry.

What type of support will I receive after the course?

Our commitment to your success doesn’t end with the course completion certificate. Our support is ongoing and doesn't expire. We're available to answer your questions by phone, email, and chat.

Will I receive a certificate when I complete the course?

Certificates are earned and will be given once you meet all the training competencies which consist of:

  • Online coursework, videos, quizzes, and final exam: Topics include eye and eyelash health, safety, and infection control; client consultations; choosing the right extensions; application techniques; and tips for building an eyelash business.
  • In-person training: After completing the online coursework, learners will attend a one-day, in-person training with a certified Lash Trainer.
  • Post-training photo submission: Learners must provide images of three to five eyelash sets completed on live models. To qualify for the certification, learners must have three passing submissions.

Generally, we anticipate most learners will complete all requirements within 4 to 8 weeks. Once your final submission has been approved, you'll receive the official certificate via email within 2-5 business days, absent extenuating or unforeseen circumstances.

Note that a training certificate is not a guarantee of the outcome of your performance which is based upon your own personal artistic talents, skill level and ability to perform the service.

Will I be licensed after taking your course?

No, we do not issue licenses, only certificates.

Most states, such as Florida, require a license (i.e. Cosmetology, Esthetician, Full Specialist, Facial Specialist) to practice certain beauty or body treatment disciplines for a fee.

You'll need to refer to your State Board of Cosmetology for licensing requirements.

What is the difference between certification and licensure?

Certification acknowledges that you completed training on a specified topic but does not license you to provide the service for a fee in the State in which you choose to practice:

  • Most states require a license (i.e. Cosmetology, Esthetician, Full Specialist, Facial Specialist) to practice certain beauty or body treatment disciplines for a fee.
  • It is your responsibility to do the research for your State prior to signing up for the course.

What if I can't make it and need to reschedule or cancel?

You can reschedule within 6 months from the original class start date, however, there are no refunds. Please read our Terms & Conditions for more information.

How many models do I need to bring?

You are responsible for finding your own models.

  • For the Beginner Lash &  Brow Mentorship Course, a total of 10 models is needed. A model is required for the practical examination.
  • For the Classic Course, 1 model is needed.
  • For the Volume Course, 1 model is needed.
  • For the Brow Lamination Course, 2 models are needed.
  • For the Lash Lift Course, 2 models are needed.

Do I need to find my own model?

  • Fairly straight lashes
  • Healthy lashes
  • Healthy eyes
  • Non-sensitive skin around the eye and lash line

What if I can't find my own model?
